Smart-mug applications
Interface Requirements for Heated Drinkware
A heated mug needs a power interface assessed against its heating load, temperatures and liquid exposure. A two-contact magnetic design may provide supply and return paths, but the complete appliance’s safety and structural integrity require separate product-level evaluation.

Heating-load Current Requirements
Size the contacts and complete conductor path for the heating element’s current and duty cycle. Verify resistance and temperature rise; the contact architecture alone does not guarantee fast heating or prevent overheating.

IP65–IP67 Protection Targets
A qualified sealing arrangement can address the specified IP65, IP66 or IP67 conditions. Confirm the tested state and liquid exposure. Those ratings do not establish dishwasher suitability, safe charging while wet or protection against every washing method and spill.

Guided Docking
N52 neodymium magnets are an original design example for guidance and retention. Confirm the selected material’s temperature limits and the mechanical locating features; magnet grade alone does not ensure perfect alignment or a fail-safe connection.
Custom Interface Development
17 Years of Manufacturing and Development Experience
A temperature-controlled vessel needs an interface matched to its electrical load and mechanical architecture. Our manufacturing experience supports a review of the custom contact, housing and docking requirements rather than assuming an off-the-shelf part is sufficient.
Solution development: define the electrical layout and mechanical interface from the initial concept.
Prototype and tooling development: use iterative samples and in-house tooling to evaluate the design and production process.
Precision manufacturing: plan assembly and quality controls for the required volume; automated production does not establish a zero-defect guarantee.
